Emily Munson is an attorney from Indianapolis, where she focuses on disability rights and bioethics. She received her J.D. in 2010 from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where she was President of the Health Law Society and named to the Order of Barristers. The same year, Emily received an M.A. in Philosophy. She is currently pursuing a LL.M. in Health Law, Policy & Bioethics.
Emily has always maintained an interest in politics, and has been paradoxically described by friends as a “conservative activist.” In 2006, Emily graduated with honors from Hanover College, earning a B.A. in Political Science. She considers herself privileged to have been a member of the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series Class of 2012-2013.
Those residing in Indianapolis have likely seen Emily rolling around town; she is deeply engaged in her community. Emily currently serves on the Leadership Committee of the Governor’s Council for People with Disabilities; is Secretary of the Fair Housing Center of Central Indiana; and mentors youth with disabilities through the Camp Riley Beyond the Woods program.
